Transclude Me: Make the Web More Context-Rich
Transclude Me is a free Chrome extension developed by transclude.me that aims to enhance the web browsing experience by enabling in-place context-specific previews for links. With this extension, users can enjoy live previews for fragment links and a general preview for a set of allowlisted websites.
One of the standout features of Transclude Me is its ability to display links in a sliding panel mode. This allows users to view the linked content without leaving the current page, providing a seamless browsing experience. Additionally, the extension offers the option to save links in preview mode to Instapaper for later reference.
To utilize the extension, simply install it and supported links will be marked with a `τ` indicator suffix, indicating the availability of a preview. Hovering over a link with the `Alt` key pressed will display the preview, while clicking on the link with `Shift+Alt` keys pressed opens it in the sliding pane view.
It's worth noting that Transclude Me also includes a feature that allows users to easily share a context-rich representation of any page element's HTML. However, this feature is still a work in progress.
Overall, Transclude Me is a valuable extension for Chrome users who want to make the web more context-rich and enjoy the convenience of in-place previews for links.
